Tears For All The Years is about the alchemy of making the ephemera of expressed emotion into physical matter.

Hand-grown crystalline forms, seeded from the tears of myself, friends and strangers. Like a rock collection with untold histories and stories, manifest from a kind word, a hard day, a deep despair, a frustration, a birth, a loss, a result, hormones, an old pain, a song, or just…

With a ten-year stretch of not crying as a kid, I like giving them lasting form and materiality.

Inspired by Rose-Lynn Fisher's imaging of the microscopic structures of dried human tears, a topography of psychic and reflex tears, all remarkably different when viewed up close.
