The Artist is not a licensed lottery retailer, gambling operator, or bookmaker. The artwork is not for sale, but if it were to become so, the sale of this artwork is a transaction for physical fine art, artistic labour, and intellectual concept.

The purchase price of this artwork reflects its value as a unique piece of contemporary art, not the face value or potential redemption value of the enclosed scratchcard.

This sale does not constitute the facilitation, promotion, or resale of active gambling products.

3. The Element of Agency & Destruction of the Work

By acquiring this artwork, the Collector acknowledges and agrees to the following terms regarding the enclosed scratchcard:

Integrity of the Artwork. The artwork is intended to remain intact, sealed, and unscratched.

The Collector’s Choice. The Collector retains absolute agency to physically alter, open, or destroy the artwork to extract and scratch the enclosed card.

Termination of Art Value. If the Collector chooses to open the frame, extract the card, or scratch the game surface, the artwork is permanently defaced and its status and value as a certified piece of fine art are immediately voided.

4. Limitation of Liability & Prize Waivers

No Guarantee of Value. The Artist makes no claims, warranties, or guarantees regarding the financial outcome of the enclosed scratchcard. The card may have a financial value of zero.

Waiver of Claims. In the event that the Collector destroys the artwork, scratches the card, and reveals a winning ticket, the Artist waives all rights and claims to any financial prize or payout. The winnings (if any) belong entirely to the holder of the physical ticket, subject to the rules of the official lottery operator.

Expired Tickets. Lottery scratchcards have official expiry dates determined by the operator. The Artist is not liable for tickets that expire while held within the artwork, as the piece is intended for permanent display, not eventual redemption.
